What's a Landing Page?

Don't know what a landing page is?

That's ok.

You're about to find out.

A landing page is a single web page that has one clear focus on a call-to-action (CTA).

It's where your visitor "lands".

They usually only have 1 goal...

To convert.

There's 2 types of landing pages and these include:

  • Lead generation landing pages - e.g. download a free ebook

  • Click through landing pages - e.g. order X now

They limit choices for you to do something else.

That's why they're perfect for conversions.

If you want to convert more traffic and boost your sales, then a landing page is a great place to start.

Here's what a simple landing page looks like:

So, what's the difference between a landing page and a website?

A landing page has a clear focus on 1 CTA for a conversion.

They usually only have 1 goal.

Whereas a website has multiple goals and multiple links, such as an about me section, products, a contact page and so on.

How to build a high-converting landing page for your traffic:

A landing page should include:

  • An attention-grabbing headline for an extremely valuable product/service

  • An appealing subheading

  • Benefits of the product to the reader

  • Social proof

  • A clear CTA

What's the real secret to a landing page that converts?

Your copy!

Your words matter more than anything else on a landing page.

So make every word count and make your CTA extremely appealing.

Here are some tips on how to turn your landing pages into lead magnets:

Offer something of value: Provide an incentive for visitors to fill out the form on your landing page. This could be a free resource, such as an ebook, whitepaper, or webinar.

Make your offer clear and compelling: Use a headline and subheadline that clearly communicates the value of your offer and why visitors should download it.

Keep your form short and simple: Only ask for the information you need, such as name and email address. The more fields you include, the less likely visitors are to complete the form.

Use persuasive copy: Use persuasive language that highlights the benefits of your offer and encourages visitors to take action.

Use eye-catching design: Use visuals and design elements that draw attention to your offer and create a sense of urgency.

Test and optimise: Continuously test and optimise your landing pages to improve their performance and conversion rates. This can include testing different headlines, images, and form fields to see what works best.
